Church Design Board

Just completed the design board for a church lobby and sanctuary.  The spaces needed to be lightened up from the existing dark paneling.  I wanted to keep the logo colors-navy and yellow consistant throughout the space along with accenting brushed metals.

American Diabetes Association- Silent Auction

I am so excited about the weekend!  I have donated two of my gift cards to the American Diabetes Association silent auction for this Saturday in Bentonville, AR.  This is my first silent auction to donate my services. I think that is why I am super pumped!

Another fabulous trend this spring is mint! Again it makes a great statement in your home and in fashion.  This color is beautifully accessorized with gold and chocolate.  Notice how this color pops with blonde woods and gold metals. Deep browns really allow the mint to stand on its own.

I love how fashion and design tend to follow the same trends!

Currently it is all about black and white stripes!

If you tend to have a hard time getting out of your comfort zone when it comes to crazy and new trends,I think you are going to love this. 

Black and white is so basic and you can always start small;  for example, try some toss pillows, scarf or a tie! This past weekend, I helped a customer at work update her style.  She wants to look and feel stylish but has been out of the loop for awhile. She felt a bit frightened to step out of her place of comfort.  But we started small with a black and white cardi and she looks fabulous! It adds life to her basics so she can be current with the trends and comfortable at the same time.

I had already painted this dresser but wanted all the furniture in the master bedroom to coordinate. almost look like a bedroom set but with a more unique flair.
